
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 alongside Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut and assisted the team in winning the league title. Morgan was 22 years old at the time, making her the youngest player on the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the match-winning goal the 123rd minute in the semi-final match against Canada. She was the second player in the United States to score 20 goals and 21 assists in 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the United States to achieve 20 goals in a single year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a role in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was named to the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
