Columbia Police Department officers had searched for Sims since Christmas week however, they were unable find him. They have arrested Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory following an incident that involved murder in relation to Sims's death. According to officials, Eddie Brown (30), has been arrested as an accessory to the murder. Sims, a 26 year-old male was last seen by Columbia on the 20th of December. 20, on Ervin Street. His wife, Wardlaw, reported him missing on December. 22 according to the police. The body was found near an area of a creek along Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford, verified that the body belonged to Sims. Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook declares Wardlaw has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during a violent incident. Sims passed away from numerous gunshot wounds, according to the police. According to the Columbia Police Department released the Tweet below, asking for the community to help.
