Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She can fluently speak French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her father is a theater professor for one of the best Romanian acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award during the young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was recognized"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. As an actress of Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in the film industry through the Canadian-British TV drama Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. The debut film of the actress, Sex Traffic, won an award from the British Academy of Television, to be the Best Actress. She also received several honors for her work in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. In 2007, she starred on the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 3 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Also, she was as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later was the role of Irma's German aunt in Fury that was released in the year 2014.
