Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. In addition to BJJ training as well, she was also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. Aspen returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's professional career. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Combat Championships 16, Aspen won her next bout with Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to defeat McGill. Aspen ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round later in the second. She remained dominant and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the opening round, she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks for her first significant fight. Both the fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, lost to Randamie. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
