Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She received an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She began acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and TV series. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also took home a variety of awards. She made her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway show of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is most well-known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her performance as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
